Student Officer's Application
Hello everyone,
My name is Panagiotis Christos Anterriotis, though most people know me as Akis or Ak. I am a 17-year-old student in the 12th grade from Metamorfosi, Athens, and I have the honor of serving as both the Founder and Secretary-General of VermilionMUN. VermilionMUN was created from a simple but powerful belief: everyone deserves the opportunity to understand how our world works. Model United Nations should not be limited by background, financial ability, gender, age, nationality, or experience. It should be a space where every young person can learn, speak, question, debate, and grow. As a free conference, VermilionMUN stands for accessibility, inclusion, and education. It exists because diplomacy should not feel distant or unreachable. The United Nations discusses issues that affect all of us, and we believe that every student has the right to understand those issues and take part in conversations about them. For me, VermilionMUN is more than just a conference. It is an idea, a community, and a chance to prove that young people can create meaningful spaces for dialogue and cooperation. I hope that every participant leaves VermilionMUN feeling more informed, more confident, and more inspired to engage with the world around them. I look forward to welcoming you all to VermilionMUN and to building a conference shaped by respect, curiosity, and meaningful debate. For any questions, you can contact us at vermillionmodelunitednations@gmail.com, through Instagram at @vermillionmun, or through my personal Instagram @anterriwths.
Dear all,
My name is Stavrina Dimopoulou and by the time of the conference I will be attending the 12th grade in the German School of Athens. This year I have the utmost honour of serving as one of the deputy secretary generals in the first ever edition of vermillionmun.
Having attended over 15 conferences in total, starting from 2022, MUN has offered me valuable lessons in diplomacy, advocacy, and political sensibility. Taking the initiative along with the other members of the secretariat to create an accessible conference to all participants is honestly a dream come true. I hope vermillionmun will be an amazing as well as memorable experience and I look forward to meeting you all in September!
Dear all,
I am Evangelia Maragaki and currently a 12th grader at the German School of Athens. I have the honor to serve as one of the two deputy secretary generals, along with Stavrina.
I have been doing MUN’s for almost 5 years and it has become my passion. I must admit that not only have I gathered memorable experiences, but I have also formed friendships for life.
It is my wish that you also have such a memorable and joyful MUN experience as I have. I cannot wait to meet and work with all of you and have an unforgettable experience.
Dear all,
I am Filippos Eleftherios Tzanis, and it is my great honour to serve as the President of the General Assembly in the 1st Vermillion Model United Nations
Conference. It is my pleasure to welcome you to this conference and to what I hope will be a stimulating and intellectually engaging debate. Last December, I encountered Model United Nations almost by chance. What initially seemed like a simple simulation of international diplomacy quickly revealed itself to be far more meaningful. From that moment, I immediately became passionate about the idea that young people could come together to debate global challenges, exchange perspectives , and search for solutions to complex problems. Mun showed me that diplomacy is not only practiced in international institutions , but can also begin in classrooms where curiosity, cooperation and critical thinking meet, after 7 conferences including CGSMUN, AGRMUN, THIMUN, ACGMUN, SCMUN, PSMUN,
PEPSC as a delegate, LeirionMUN as Deputy president of the Security Council, and NEPSC as Secretary General, every single moment of those conferences reinforced my enthusiasm for MUN, and now, it is a natural progression towards assuming the role of Deputy President of the General Assembly in this year's Vermillion Model United Nations. Lastly Ak is the best.
